Maxi Dress--M7318 & S1159

The perfect and elegant sun/maxi dress. This very versatile dress was constructed by mixing the bodice from McCall's 7318 and the skirt from Simplicity's S1159. The skirt is from MiMi G's pattern.

Other than mixing the bodice and the skirt patterns, I made no additional changes. I was very excited how this came out. I cut the skirt a little higher--only because I ran out of material and wanted to make this work.

I used a crepe material from Hancock's. It was only $3.47 a yard, which was a real score. I must say that I am pleased with how it turned out. I really wanted to add a sleeve to it (self-drafted pattern), but I ended up not having time. Nonetheless, I still love it.
