Gold. Brocade. Elegant. Poufy! This dress is light, airy, sophisticated, and fun. I found this amazing fabric at High Fashion Fabrics in Houston, Texas. I was looking for a light and beautiful brocade and happened upon this amazing fabric. You can't see it well, but it is dazzling.

This dress was an absolute joy to make. I was wanting a dress like this when I was surfing www.patternreview.com and found some beautiful renditions of this. I opted to make the longer version of this dress simply because if I can help it, I like for skirts and dresses to come down to my knees.

This dress was easy and fun to make. It is fully lined, which I typically do not do because it seems to take to long and I suffer with impatience unfortunately

. The pleats seemed to have taken the longest. Other than that, the dress was super simple to make.

I really wanted to some gloves to go with this dress, but maybe that will come later.

The only change that I made to this dress was instead of using lining for the top part of the pocket, I used the fabric for both sides of the pocket. Other than that, I made the dress as is.
