Overall: I absolutely love how this flirty red summer dress turned out. I must say that I am totally surprised--more so by how great the fabric is than by the outfit--although I love it too. This was fun to make and very quick. I had another fabric pegged for this dress, but I am glad that I used this one.

Fabric: I used a double knit fabric from www.Fabric.com for $5.98 a yard. I did not know when I ordered it that I would love it so much! I really love this fabric. It was light, yet heavy enough for the pattern. 2-way stretch and just amazing for such a cheap price. The seams don't iron that well, but that is okay for the style of dress.

Pattern: I used the Sandra Betzina 1496 Vogue pattern to make this

dress. I made it pretty much as is. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. I cut the shorter version (want to make the long one for winter/fall). I tacked down my facing because I did not use interfacing--I was out and kept forgetting to pick up some.

The only mistake I made was sewing the sleeves shut too much and therefore, I needed to take them apart a little for my arms to fit comfortably through the sleeve openings. Other than that, everything else was golden!
